Laura and David
In about thirty minutes I'm out the door to head off to Europe for a few weeks with Anna, Callie, and Jamie!! I thought I would leave on a high note with a little eye candy from an engagement shoot I did a couple weeks ago. I am so excited to show ya'll these pictures of our sweet friends, Laura and David.
Ciao!

we did it!
Check. I already miss my house and friends so much that it hurts.
From what I've heard about the real world, it's not the collegiate utopia I've been swimming in for four years. And I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I'll be hard-pressed to find better roommates and friends, not to mention a cuter house or better bagels. Needless to say, I'm feeling extraordinarily bitter about change being thrust upon me, but I'm holding onto the words that a dear friend in the DR sent me in an e-mail a couple weeks ago.
I am still having fun. I am still learning. I am still experiencing fullness and joy. I am daily satisfied by Christ. I still love life. Yes, it's different. But not worse. You will miss friends and Auburn, but God has a next step for you that is awesome. He was faithful to you in your time at Auburn... and He will be faithful to your time after college. That's a promise.
I'm a skeptic, but I'll take it.

a weekend

if you are going to make cupcakes
...by all means, make cupcakes. We made these with some makeshift icing (2 1/2 sticks of butter [oh heavens], all the powdered sugar in the house [about 3 boxes, but could have used more] and some chopped strawberries. We also added some strawberry puree, but wouldn't recommend it because it made the icing too runny.) Y'all, we ended up with 60 cupcakes.
The occasion, as if we need one, was to celebrate the news that our sweet friend is having her first GIRL! If that doesn't scream "let's make pink cupcakes and give them to people," I just don't know what does.

Katie and Jordan
Here is what happens when a Rhodes Scholar from Virginia falls in love with the cutest girl from Tennessee. It was such a pleasure having them as my first real engagement shoot for the obvious reason that they are so dashing, but even more so because they are just so delightful to be around! Couldn't have done it without Holly who let me crawl on her back to get some shoots from above, carried around multiple changes of clothes and boots, and provided some entertainment and another creative eye. Enjoy!

movin'
Well, folks, if you haven't gotten the hint from every blog post in the past month, we are about to be pushed out of the nest, ready or not. Most days it feels like not, but here. we. go.
Meagan is setting sail in June for the ATL to work with Emily over at OnceWed! If you don't already follow OnceWed, you should start today. Who cares if you aren't a bride? Until then, she will be galavanting around Europe and visiting her fam in Cali. Jealous, first because who doesn't want to go Europe with their friends, and second because who doesn't want to spend a week with the Gibson's? Geez.
As for me, I'm moving to Greenville, SC to intern with G Magazine. So begins the life of a... writer? We'll see. Live there? Wanna be friends? I need some. But first, graduation, moving and the wedding of a dear friend.
At the expense of sounding cliche, it seriously feels like yesterday we were moving out of the dorms after scary freshman year. Yesterday Meg and I pulled out her external hard-drive and spent an hour on our porch flipping through old pictures, and found these from the day we packed up our dorm.
We were such freshmen.
And we can't believe we are about to leave Auburn for good. The changes, they are a-comin'. So are the tears. If that makes you uncomfortable, you should probably leave.
